Honey Extraction
Join us for honey extraction day at the end of the summer. This happens in conjunction with the Homestead Harvest Festival at Headwaters Community Farm. Come get some hands on experience opening the wax caps on the honey and watching while the honey is spun out of the frames in the extractor.

Time & Location
Sep 01, 2019, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Headwaters Community Farm, 3517 Rowe Rd, Cobourg, ON K9A 4J7, Canada
About the Event
Along with extraction we have farm tours, pizzas and bagels from Tony's world famous wood oven available for purchase and we will take a walk to the hives and take a look inside to see what the bees are up to as they get ready for winter. Who knows, maybe we will see the workers kicking out the drone bees, always an exciting event!
(bee jackets and veils will be supplied, long pants and closed toed shoes are best for this visit)
